□ Korea Academic Recognition Information Center(KARIC), the Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) held a meeting on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, with the Norwegian Embassy in Seoul, to enhance mutual understanding of the higher education systems of both countries and to exchange information related to the recognition of degrees and qualifications.
□ From the Norwegian side, Ms. Hilde Haaland-Kramer, the Counsellor for Higher Education, Research and Innovation attended the meeting. From the KCUE side, Director JungEun LEE of KARIC along with staff members of the Center, participated.
□ During the meeting, KCUE introduced respective roles and activities of KCUE and KARIC. The Norwegian higher education system and recent internationalization policies were also discussed. Both sides shared information on how their systems operate, contributing to greater mutual understanding.
□ The meeting served as a meaningful opportunity to deepen understanding of the higher education systems and qualification recognition frameworks of both countries, and to explore possibilities for future information exchange and cooperation. KARIC will continue to expand exchanges with relevant overseas institutions.
